Sonoran Dendritic Rhyolite Pendant

Sonoran Dendritic is thought to be dolomite, altered by volcanic activity. It displays patterns of dendrites, and landscapes in a soft stone that takes a matte satin finish. It was found in 2009 up a mountain slope in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The teardrop cabochon is set in sterling silver with a back mounted bail. Total length – 84 mm x 34 mm (3.25″ x 1.25″). Lapidary and design work by John Delong.
